I do not know my birth time

Choose Approximate and a part of the day, or choose I don't know. Sumuhurta uses the solar day and Moon factors without inventing an exact ascendant. You can edit the chart later from Settings.

Which dates and places can I enter?

Birth dates run from 1940 through the current date. Dates and exact times in the future, impossible dates and nonexistent local times during a daylight-saving jump are rejected. Search the bundled city list and check its region and timezone before selecting a place. City search and chart calculation work offline.

What does the app calculate?

Sumuhurta applies selected classical Vedic timing factors, including choghadiya, hora, dasha and Moon factors, using Lahiri ayanamsa. Its day runs from sunrise to the next sunrise. Recommended personal windows exclude Rahu Kaal, Yamaganda, Gulika, and the Kaal, Rog and Udveg choghadiya periods.

This is a focused traditional calculation, not a complete electional-muhurta assessment, scientific prediction or guarantee of outcomes. It does not replace professional medical, legal or financial advice. Clear run, Sharp and Steady describe the selected windows; there are no streaks or penalties for ignoring one.

Purchase, restoration and the free weeks

What stays free?

The in-app sky, personal windows, day-line exploration, share card and optional calendar marks remain free. A fourteen-day trial begins when you save your first chart and includes paid ambient features. One lifetime purchase keeps the Android Home Screen widget and local window reminders available after the trial. There is no subscription or automatic renewal.

My purchase is not showing

Connect to the internet, use the Google Play account that bought the Android lifetime product, open Sumuhurta Settings and select Restore purchases. Check Google Play's order history if you are unsure which account purchased it. Never send a password or card number to support.

Apple purchases do not unlock Android access. There is no shared iPhone/Android account or automatic chart transfer. If a test build says purchases are unavailable, its Play product or verification configuration may not yet be ready; that message is not evidence of a completed purchase.

The purchase is pending or cancelled

A pending payment does not unlock lifetime access. Complete any required action in Google Play, then reopen or restore in Sumuhurta. Cancelling the purchase sheet does not buy the product. An existing free trial remains governed by its own end date.

Can I use lifetime features offline?

A verified purchase is cached securely for up to 72 hours. After that, reconnect and restore or reopen the app to refresh paid access. The core chart and bundled city search remain available offline. A refund or revocation is reflected when Google Play reports it; the offline cache can remain usable until its expiry.

How do I request a refund?

Use Google Play order history and Google's purchase/refund options. The app cannot erase Google's order record. There is no Sumuhurta subscription to cancel.

What happens to the trial after reinstalling?

The trial timestamp is local. Deleting a chart keeps it, but clearing app data or uninstalling can remove it. Android does not provide the same trial persistence as the iPhone app's Keychain. Restore an existing lifetime purchase with the owning Google Play account after reinstalling.

I am testing a purchase

Joining an internal test does not by itself make purchases free. A no-charge license-test checkout must explicitly identify the purchase as a test and show a test payment method. If it does not, cancel before paying and confirm license-test setup with support.

The Home Screen widget

From Sumuhurta Settings, choose Add the widget, tap Add to home screen, and confirm the launcher's add-widget prompt. You can also open your launcher's widget picker, find Sumuhurta and drag it onto the Home Screen. Resize it using the launcher controls.

Save a chart first and keep an active trial or verified lifetime access. Tap the widget to open the relevant reading, setup or unlock screen. Android controls refresh timing; the dated time range and update timestamp show what the widget last rendered.

If it looks old, open Sumuhurta once, especially after travel, purchase restoration or a permission change. Review the app's battery restrictions in Android Settings if refresh remains delayed. The Android widget is a Home Screen widget; the iPhone's six widget families, StandBy and Dynamic Island do not describe Android features.

Window reminders

Turn on When a window opens in Sumuhurta Settings and allow Android notifications when asked. The permission and notification channel must both be enabled. You need an active trial or verified lifetime access.

The primary-window reminder is the default. Optional controls add a fifteen-minute advance reminder, secondary windows and an evening preview. Reminder alerts are capped at three per device-local civil day. Quiet hours run from 22:00 until 07:00. The evening preview is scheduled at 21:00 only when tonight has no later window.

Android can delay local alarms during battery saving or idle periods. An advance reminder arriving after the opening is discarded; an opening reminder arriving after the window ends is discarded. The app does not request exact-alarm access. Open Sumuhurta to see the current calculation whenever precise timing matters to you.

While a window is open, a separate silent current-window notification may show its end time. It expires when the window or verified access ends. Turn off the main reminder setting to stop this card and future reminders. Android's notification and lock-screen controls also apply.

Location and calendar choices

Optional approximate location adapts the reading after meaningful travel. It is requested only while using the app and processed locally. If it is off or denied, Sumuhurta uses the birth place you selected. You can disable it in the app or Android Settings; no background location permission is needed.

Enable Meetings on the day line to request calendar access. Only timed event start/end intervals are used for faint marks. All-day events are omitted. Event titles, notes, locations and attendees are not retained or transmitted. Turn the feature off or withdraw Calendar permission to remove the marks.

Denying any optional permission leaves the core chart available. For details on device storage, purchase information and sharing, read the Android privacy policy.

Delete a chart or recover from an error

Open Settings, choose Delete this chart, then confirm with Delete chart. This removes the saved birth profile and current reading, clears the viewing-place override and cancels reminders. The trial marker, purchase proof and other preferences remain; Google's purchase records are not deleted.

If the app cannot read or save its encrypted profile, close and reopen it. It will show a recovery error instead of silently replacing the chart. Contact support before clearing data if you want help understanding an error. There is no cloud chart copy to recover after clearing storage or uninstalling.

Do not send birth details, calendar content, location coordinates, Google credentials, purchase tokens or payment-card information. Support will never ask for your password. If an order needs investigation, share only the minimum information requested through the support correspondence.
