Privacy, on your phone.
Your birth chart is calculated on your device. Sumuhurta does not require an account, and it does not send your birth profile, calendar events or location coordinates to ColorBlast LLC.
This policy applies to Sumuhurta for Android, including internal testing builds. Google Play handles Android purchases. The separate iPhone privacy policy continues to apply to the iPhone app.
Information kept on this device
Sumuhurta stores the birth date, birth time or time range, and birth place you enter. The place includes its name, country, coordinates and timezone. These inputs are used to calculate your chart and personal timing windows locally. The bundled city search works offline.
The app also keeps your settings, a local trial timestamp and clock checks, limited local usage history for the optional Google Play review prompt, and the purchase proof needed to remember verified access. If you enable location, it may keep a rounded viewing place so the app and widget use the same solar day.
Your profile, trial marker, viewing place and purchase proof are encrypted with keys protected by Android Keystore and are stored in the app's private storage excluded from Android automatic backup. The app disables automatic backup. Preferences remain in its private app storage. There is no Sumuhurta cloud profile or chart synchronization between devices.
Sumuhurta includes no advertising or developer-operated analytics service. It does not ask for your name, email address or Google password. Google's Play Billing library sends its own operational data as described below. Network access is also used for Play purchases and, where available, its review prompt, and by external destinations you choose to open.
Optional permissions
Location
Optional approximate foreground location helps Sumuhurta adapt after travel. Coordinates are rounded to an approximately one-kilometre grid before calculation or local persistence. Location is not sent to a developer server. The app does not request background location. If you turn the feature off or revoke permission, the saved viewing-place override is removed and the reading returns to your selected birth place.
Calendar
Calendar access is requested only when you enable meeting marks. Sumuhurta reads the start and end times of non-all-day event instances for the displayed day line. These intervals are used in memory. It does not read event titles, notes, attendee details or event locations for this feature, and it does not write to your calendar or transmit calendar data. Turning the feature off or withdrawing permission removes the marks.
Notifications and widgets
Notifications are optional and use Android's local scheduling facilities. Your birth details are not included. Android controls delivery timing and widget refresh. The Home Screen widget reads your locally saved chart and ambient-access state. Its visible window may appear to people who can see your Home Screen. Notification visibility also follows your Android lock-screen settings.
Google Play purchases and the trial
Google Play processes the Android lifetime purchase. Sumuhurta receives signed purchase information, including the product, purchase token, transaction state and purchase time. It verifies that information on the device and stores encrypted proof to remember access. It does not receive your payment-card or bank details. No developer-operated purchase-verification server receives your receipt or chart.
The app queries Google Play to restore and refresh ownership. Previously verified lifetime access can be used offline for up to 72 hours before an online refresh is required for paid ambient features. Refunds or revocations take effect when Google Play reports the change; offline access may remain until its verification cache expires. The core in-app reading remains free.
The fourteen-day ambient-feature trial begins when you create the first chart. Its timestamp is local and is retained when you delete a chart. Clearing app data or uninstalling can remove that local history. The Android app does not promise an Apple Keychain-style trial marker that survives reinstall.
Purchases belong to the platform where they were made. An Apple purchase does not unlock the Android app, and Android purchase history does not synchronize an iPhone chart. Google handles Play transactions under its own privacy policy.
Google service data
The Google Play Billing library automatically sends billing-operation and diagnostic events to Google to operate, troubleshoot and improve its service. These include billing API and purchase-flow activity, results and errors, app package and version, billing-library and Android versions, device model and manufacturer, operating-system build information, memory capacity, network type, language, country settings, timezone offset and mobile-network codes when available. The library also creates random identifiers to associate events within a billing-client session or purchase flow. These are separate from your birth chart and are not a Sumuhurta account.
This SDK processing can occur when the app connects to Google Play or checks ownership, even if you do not complete a purchase. Sumuhurta does not provide a separate switch to disable the billing library's operational logging. The app does not add your birth profile, location coordinates or calendar events to these logs. ColorBlast LLC does not receive these SDK diagnostic events through a developer analytics dashboard.
If you choose to submit a Google Play rating or review, Google receives the rating and review text you enter. Reviews may be public, while feedback in a closed testing program is handled under Google's testing rules. You can edit or delete a submitted review through Google Play. The app does not receive the text you type into Google's review dialog.
Google handles service data under its privacy policy, including its retention practices and available account privacy controls. Clearing Sumuhurta's local storage does not itself delete data already processed by Google.
Retention and deletion
Use Settings → Delete this chart → Delete chart to remove the saved birth profile and its current reading, turn off optional location and calendar features, remove the viewing-place override, and cancel Sumuhurta reminders. The widget then returns to setup. Failed storage operations report an error rather than silently replacing your saved chart.
Deleting a chart does not erase the local trial history, verified purchase proof, other preferences or Google's purchase records. Clear app storage or uninstall to remove the app's local data under Android's rules. A Google Play lifetime purchase can be restored using the Google account that bought it. No Sumuhurta account deletion request is needed because the app creates no accounts.
Copies you explicitly shared to another service are controlled by that destination. Android, Google Play, device manufacturers and services you choose may process operating-system diagnostics, purchases or other platform data under their own policies.
Support and privacy questions
If you email support, ColorBlast LLC receives your email address and the information you choose to include. We use it to answer the request and retain correspondence only as reasonably needed for support, security and legal obligations. You may ask for deletion, subject to those obligations. Please do not include birth details, calendar content, location coordinates, passwords or payment information.
These information pages are hosted by Vercel. Visiting the website sends normal web-request information, such as your IP address and browser information, to the hosting service. That is separate from the app's on-device chart. The Android policy and support pages contain no analytics scripts or forms.
Sumuhurta is not directed specifically to children. It relies on Android's app sandbox, Keystore and device security. If the Android app's data practices change, this policy and relevant Google Play declarations will be updated before the changed release.
